We are turning the Sarasota VFW into comedy central! You will feel like you stepped into a theatre!
This event begins with a PRE-SHOW MIXER, where you can play FUN GAMES and WIN PRIZES, vidit with VENDORS, listen to some GREAT TUNES, and enjoy DRINKS.
Next, you will attend a HILARIOUS, CLEAN COMEDY SHOW with 3 STANDING- OVATION COMEDIANS! It feels so good to laugh and support heroes!
After the show, you can stop by for photos and a MEET & GREET with all the comedians!
Not only will each comedian create HUGE LAUGHTER, but they have been involved with supporting Veterans for many years! Check this out...
About the Comedians and their affliation to VETERANS:

For more that 25 years, Julie Scoggins has been in the business of putting smiles on peoples faces in comedy venues all over the world. A southern girl with universal appeal, her sold out shows prove without a shadow of a doubt that this lady is a real crowd pleaser. “Folks actually WANT to sit in the front row” says Scoggins in that warm unmistakable voice. “They come back again so they can bring their friends”
Starting from humble beginnings of open mic nights in Charlotte NC, Julie has risen through the ranks of the industry to become one of the top acts for Carnival Cruise Lines and The Armed Forces Entertainment Group. She is a regular guest on major syndicated media shows like The Bob & Tom Show, John Boy & Billy, & XM/Sirius Blue Collar Radio.
Her career has brought her to TV also with spots on ABC, NBC, CBS and even a part on the Hit Show Last Comic Standing.
Julie's Step-dad is a Marine Lieutenant Colonel and her brother and step-sister are both in the Army. Julie travels all over Europe making American Troops laugh. She LOVES helping Veterans!
Kojo Prince is a high-energy comedian that has the ability to perform for various audiences regardless of race, backgrounds and ages. His clean comedy style is best described as being silly and superficial but yet satisfying and 100% relatable. Extremely energetic and animated. It is often said that you burn calories just by watching him perform!
Born in NYC, raised in New Jersey and taught the art of comedy by local Italian comics is one of THEE main reasons his act comes with a lot of hand gestures. His first appearance as a Comedian was at the Village Gate - located in Greenwich Village, NY. He has been making 'em laugh ever since.
He has been a welcomed participant of several comedy festivals, such as The L.A Diversity Comedy Festival to The World Series of Comedy to name a few. He has also been seen on Showtime as well as Comedy Time T.V.
Kojo has family members in the service and his brother is a Police Officer with the NYPD. He loves supporting our troops and first responders!

“Why haven’t I heard of this guy?! He’s a walking sitcom!”
These were comic icon Joan Rivers’ words when she picked Sid Davis as her opening act for her 2014 tour after viewing over 200 comedians.
Sid’s infectious wit was cultivated growing up in Ohio, observing legends like Red Skelton, Garry Shandling, Joan Rivers and JohnnyCarson.
“I wanted to be in show business. I dreamed of being a sitcom character.”
Following a 20-year airline career, Sid finally pursued the dream he’d missed earlier in life but found his age of entry a barrier.
During his initial struggles in the comedy business, notable mentors encouraged Sid to utilize his exceptional situational writing skills on stage. That was the breakthrough to Sid’s distinguished comedy shows. “My age is now an advantage. I’m the writer and star of my own sitcom.”
After seeing Sid Davis’ one-of-a-kind show, you too will agree with Joan Rivers: “Sid Davis is terrific!”
Sid's Father served in WW2 and his Grandfather served in WW 1. He is a huge supporter of our troops!
