The community is invited to enjoy an evening of good food, music, and dancing at the Red, White, and Blue BBQ event on Saturday, May 24, at 6:00 PM, hosted at the Okeechobee KOA Event Center. This festive occasion aims to honor local veterans and raise funds for the restoration of the Okeechobee City Veterans Park Huey."Events like this are what bring our community together," said Gregg Maynard, founder of Thank You for Your Service, Inc. "We are proud to support our veterans and ensure they receive the recognition they deserve. This BBQ is not just a fundraiser—it's a celebration of their sacrifices."
Attendees can look forward to delicious food, exciting raffles, door prizes, and a chance to dance the night away. A special highlight of the evening will be the presence of Donald J. Jenkins, a medal of honor recipient, who will be recognized for his service.
Tickets for the event are priced at $30, with table sponsorships available for $500. Sponsors will receive social media promotion and event recognition as part of their support. "Every ticket and sponsorship makes a significant impact," Maynard added. "All proceeds will benefit Okeechobee veterans and contribute to the restoration efforts for the Parks Huey."
Guests are encouraged to dress in their best red, white and blue business casual attire and to bring their dancing boots for an unforgettable night. This event is brought to you by Thank You for Your Service, Inc., the Okeechobee Police Department, the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office, and Okeechobee KOA.
