Recorded in the band's native Ohio and produced for the first time by the quintet itself, Red Wanting Blue’s latest album, Light It Up, marks the start of a distinctly new chapter for the indie rock stalwarts, one built on complete and total creative liberation. Equally gritty and uplifting, the collection is a larger-than-life ode to hope and perseverance, a celebration of the fire we carry within and the commitment that keeps us going even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. Wild & Co. emerged from the creative synergy of lead singer and guitarist John Torres and bassist Ian Tait, two seasoned musicians bound by their love of rootsy indie rock and an enduring friendship. The band's inception can be traced back to a significant turning point in John's life when he took a leap of faith by renovating and opening Park City Music Hall in 2021.
As Wild & Company began to take shape, John and Ian's collaboration quickly revealed its magic. Influenced by the likes of Wilco, My Morning Jacket, and Dawes, the duo embarked on their musical journey in 2022, crafting songs that resonate with their shared passion. Wild & Company invites fans and supporters to be a part of their journey, promising an album that not only encapsulates their musical evolution but also celebrates the community that inspired it all.
