Speaker: Alex is a highly motivated cyber security professional who was recently a part of the Navy Red team and will be transiting to support a Red Team soon. He has a passion for offensive security, is experienced in performing external penetration tests, assumed compromise internal assessments, as well as purple team events. Well versed in Active Directory exploitation. OSCP and OSEP certified. Contributor of two tools to the CobaltStrike Community Kit.
He has a special interest in AV evasion and advanced exploitation techniques in order to bypass mature organizations defenses. Considerable time spent programming in C and C# utilizing techniques like sandbox evasion, shellcode encryption, and the resolution of API's through alternate methods to include D/Invoke, API hashing, and direct syscalls in the implementation of process injection and process hollowing shellcode runners. Additional time spent programming in Python3 in the automation of enumeration and payload generation. Actively developing and implementing new functionality within Cobalt Strike through Aggressor scripts and Beacon Object Files to move away from default, signatured behaviors.
