Join us at the Slaughter Beach Pavilion, Delaware, for the first annual Red Knot Fest. American Littoral Society will lead a beach walk/horseshoe crab interaction, where participants can view, hold, and tag a crab while we talk about all things bayshore and horseshoe crab.
Get creative and design your own horseshoe crab t-shirt with Upstream Alliance! This activity is suitable for all ages and provides a fun souvenir to take home. UA will also host an interactive fish seining activity. Discover the diversity of fish species that inhabit the waters of the Delaware Bay.
Join guided bird watching field trips led by experts from Delaware Audubon and the Delaware Ornithological Society. They will decide where to go based on the bird activity and tidal conditions, ensuring the best possible birding experience for participants.
Please bring your own food and beverage. Water, drinks, and snacks will be provided free of charge.
