Red Island Cider is Turning FIVE!We know, we can't believe it either.
When we first installed the tanks and the bar top in the spring of 2019, we had no idea what was in store. We obviously didn't expect a pandemic in our first year (or three) of operations. We certainly hoped that we could create award winning cider. We definitely didn't expect that it would be this difficult or this enjoyable. We absolutely were blown away by the community that has formed around our little cidery in Charlottetown.
This party is as much yours as it is ours. We couldn't have done it without the supportive community on the Island. The businesses that took a chance, put us on tap, and made us the Island's #1 cider. The wonderful tourists that have graced our taproom and told their friends. The locals that consistently come in to grab a cider to-go or enjoy a pint and swap stories.
So, join us on Friday, May 10 and Saturday May 11 (12-9pm) as we celebrate reaching this milestone.
There will be great eats, a new cider launch, a special cider tasting event and incredible live music on both days.
Here is a rundown of the schedule.
Friday, May 10
The Loyalist Road cider launch: 12pm - till it's gone
Oysters, Sandwiches and Mussels from Robert Pendergast: 4-8 pm
Live music from the incredibly talented Fraser McCallum and Colin Buchanan: 6 - 7:30pm
Saturday May 11
Faults and Flavours Cider Experience: 1 - 2:30pm
Live Music from the Fair Deal Exchange (these folks are amazing): 3pm - till they stop
Oysters, Sandwiches and Mussels from Robert Pendergast: 3 - 8pm
So, in the words of American singer-songwriter Lesley Gore, "It's my party and I'll cider if I want to."
