Who is Alex Righetto
Alex is a 40-year-old contemporary artist who was born in Verona, Italy but spent the last 4 years living abroad to pursue his artistic vision, traveling to London, New York, and Miami.
He is a hectic artist with experienced careers in photography, marketing, design, and events management.
He perfected his knowledge of art, anatomy, and painting at the Cignaroli Academy of Fine Arts in Verona which he attended for several years.
His true passion lies with figurative art but he also has an appreciation for pure design and abstract work as well.
Alex Righetto currently lives in Florida US, where his studio is located.
Alex has traveled extensively throughout London, New York City and Miami while working on various projects for private clients.
A self-described “contemporary” artist who likes to provide fresh perspectives through imagery that often veers into the classic renaissance territory. Alex's paintings are influenced by his studies in classical art and he draws inspiration from his love of Michelangelo, Rembrandt and Caravaggio among others.
He believes that all things are interconnected and seeks to express these connections through his work.
Romeo and Juliet: the story of our metamorphosis.
A new perspective on Shakespeare's classic love story
The journey of a lifetime is not just about finding someone you love. It's also the process through which we learn how to be our best selves, and this exhibition will explore that transformational idea with an unusual perspective on oftentimes one of the most powerful stories ever told - Romeo & Juliet
To kick off the Art Basel Week, Miami will be home to an exciting art exhibition by emerging artist Alex Righetto.
The city of Verona in Italy is where the story takes place and where the artist also hails from.
In this new perspective, it will not be about the love between these two doomed lovers, but it's rather a reflection on what we each go through in our own personal metamorphoses.
