Effective September 8th, a current (within 72 hours) negative COVID-19 test OR proof of vaccination will be required to enter our venues. You will be asked to provide either of these items upon arrival in order to attend this event.

Twas three days before Christmas and all through 23rd--

We're hanging at Ponyboy for poems and spoken word!

(and other stuff: songs and jokes welcome, but it didn't fit the rhyme scheme)

We're back for our monthly dose of words and community! And poets, if you're looking for a little last minute spending money for holiday zazz, we're doing a $50 CASH SLAM!

Each slam contestant will need 2 three-minute (or less) poems. Contestants must be registered & orientated by 7:45PM the night of the slam and be present to draw their number at 8:00PM. Registration and orientation can be done in advance, just hit up the Red Dirt DMs or shoot us an email: [email protected].

If you’re reading this and thinking “man, I don’t want to compete, but I do want to read my poetry” we got you! We will still be having an open mic for poets, musicians, and comedians!

(Fun fact: due to this being the only slam Red Dirt has this year, the winner of this slam will also be THE RED DIRT POETRY SLAM CHAMPION OF 2021!!!)
