Call for Artists: You are invited to exhibit your work in our 3rd community art exhibition.
Are you ready to explore the vibrant and powerful world of red? We invite artists to submit their work for our August exhibition that celebrates the diverse symbolism and emotional impact of the colour red.
Exhibition Theme: Red is more than just a colour; it's a symbol of passion, power, and vitality. In this exhibition, we seek to capture the essence of red in all its forms. We are looking for artworks that evoke the strength, courage, and excitement that red represents, without resorting to the familiar imagery of hearts and blood.
Join us in this bold and dynamic exploration of red, and let your art be part of a journey that challenges conventional interpretations and offers new perspectives on this powerful hue.
Submission Guidelines:
• Artwork must prominently feature shades of red – 80%
• Please refrain from using hearts and blood in your work. It will not be accepted
• All mediums accepted including but not limited to: drawings, paintings, ceramics, mixed media, fibre arts, collage, photography, digital art…except AI generated works. All works can be for sale. The gallery takes 30% commission.
• Works and entry form to be delivered to Jinx Art Gallery between the 21st and 31st July.
• All work needs to be clearly labelled on the back with artists name and title of work.
• Size should not exceed 1.2m in width
• Artworks will be installed Friday 1st August 2025
• Exhibition opens Saturday 2nd August 5pm 2025 (Red fancy dress encouraged)
• Exhibition closes 22rd August 2025
• Collection of works 23rd and 24th August between 9am – 2pm
