The Bobcat Backers are thrilled to announce our upcoming Spring Backer event (formerly Winter Backer) on Saturday, March 29, 2025, with the theme "Red and Black Cocktail Party." This signature event promises to bring our community together in style to celebrate and support the incredible student-athletes of Brookings High School.John Stiegelmeier, Head Coach Emeritus of the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits, will be joining us as our keynote speaker! Known for his leadership both on and off the field, Coach Stiegelmeier will share his heartfelt perspective on how athletics shape young lives—not just in terms of competition, but as a foundation for building character, fostering resilience, and creating lifelong connections. His words promise to inspire all of us to reflect on the lasting impact sports can have on the social and emotional well-being of our youth.
The Bobcat Backers play a vital role in enhancing the athletic experience for our students, providing resources that support equipment needs, team camps, facility upgrades, scholarships, and so much more. Our mission is to ensure our athletes have the tools they need to succeed both on and off the field/court/mat/floor, and events like this are key to making that possible.
