This presentation will provide information about the fundamentals of recycling and a brief introduction to composting. It will cover what is recyclable, what is not recyclable, why it’s important to recycle, recycling statistics and data, where our recyclables go if or if not recycled, where to bring certain recyclables, and what recyclables can become. It will also introduce composting as a method of recycling food waste, its benefits, how to do it, where you can do it at home, what you can compost, and why it’s beneficial and important to do so. Presented by a recycling educator from the Dutchess County Division of Solid Waste Management.
