RecRock October Half Term Music Workshops 2025
Come rock out with us at the RecRock October Half Term Music Workshops 2025! Join us at Y Banc, Caerphilly for a week of musical fun and learning. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, our workshops cater to all levels.
The project is for young people aged 12-18 years old who have an interest in music. We are looking for singers, songwriters, drummers, guitarists, keyboard players, anyone who wants to make friends and improve their music skills.
We are focussing on digital skills as part of the project. The young people will learn how to use a sound desk, how to use digital photography and social media as well as rehearsing in bands.
No experience is necessary, anyone can attend the only thing required is a can do attitude. Our courses are ideal for young people who want to improve their confidence, and perform on stage for the first time. We are particularly keen to work with people who are suffering from social isolation and want to make new friends.
We will be looking at songwriting, exploring themes of halloween! In previous projects we have put on a concert and made music videos. The projects are always led by the young people on the courses, so please come with any creative ideas.
The week will work towards a sharing event for family and friends to come along and see/listen to what the young people havec created over the week!
The course is FREE, however there are limited spaces so please get in touch to book your place on the course .
If you are older than 18 and want to volunteer, please get in touch. The activities we are running are suitable for children in comprehensive school but we're always on the look out for volunteers to help and we also have lots other classes suitabel for adults which we can send you the details for.
