The Douglas County Drug Treatment Court team and alumni group are hosting their annual community Recovery Walk event from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, in South Park, 1198 Massachusetts St., in the gazebo area. The event will feature a keynote speaker and a variety of fun contests and activities, including a cake walk, duck pond, tabletop bowling, sheet race, bubble gum contest and more. There will be a short walk that will feature inspirational messages of hope.
The event is part of National Recovery Month and is free and open to the community.
