Recovery Plus introduces an innovative blend of the Unified Mindfulness System and traditional Chinese Acupuncture, offering a comprehensive path to recovery. This collaboration between Shelly Young, LPC, LISAC, and Troy Arce, DACM LAc, integrates Shelly's cutting-edge Release and Empowerment Protocol with Dr. Arce's Modified Acupuncture System (MAS), aiming to significantly reduce or completely eliminate cravings.
Unified Mindfulness stands out due to its distinct framework developed by Shinzen Young, a globally recognized mindfulness teacher with a background in neuroscience and co-directorship at the SEMA Lab, University of Arizona. This method utilizes a unique labeling technique that encourages mental clarity and grounding. Its focus on "equanimity" fosters an accepting and open approach to handling thoughts and emotions, facilitating the alleviation of mental and physical discomfort more effectively.
Meanwhile, the NADA protocol, also known as Acudetox, is an acclaimed acupuncture technique for addiction recovery. Endorsed by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association, it involves the precise placement of up to five sterile needles into specific ear points. The NADA protocol is designed to assist in reducing cravings, easing withdrawal symptoms, diminishing stress and anxiety, and enhancing overall calmness and well-being, supporting individuals on their journey to recovery.
Please bring your legal addictive substance to the workshop. Otherwise, you may use the internet, mental images or other triggers.
