Recovery Movie Meetups are facilitated, mutual support groups that use carefully selected Hollywood films about addiction and recovery to foster empathy, inspire hope, and build a stronger recovery community through shared viewing and discussion. Attendees will engage with workbooks and exercises to stimulate deep thought, process emotions, and connect the characters' stories to their own recovery journey. This innovative, evidence-based approach makes recovery meetings more engaging, memorable, and effective by leveraging the emotional impact of cinema to support long-term positive change and self-reevaluation in a safe, supportive environment. Developed by Ted Perkins, a Hollywood insider, who used film as a recovery tool for himself. We will meet the third Tuesday of every month at 6pm. We will provide snacks but feel free to bring your own favorite movie watching treat!
