Vermont’s Recovery Day is a celebration and a call to action. It reminds us that recovery from substance use disorder, mental health challenges, and co-occurring conditions is not only possible but strengthened when our communities and systems work together to make healing accessible for everyone.Each year, people in recovery, families, advocates, and allies come together at the State House to honor the many pathways to recovery and to lift up the voices of lived experience in shaping policy and practice. Recovery Day is a space for connection — where we listen, learn, and celebrate one another’s courage — and also a space for vision, where we imagine and advocate for a Vermont where recovery support is woven into every community.
Let’s stand together to ensure that recovery isn’t just a hope, but a shared commitment — one that makes healing probable for all Vermonters.
