Record Enable is an initiative created in 2022 by Emily Wheatcroft-Snape to help women and non-binary people create sustainable careers as audio engineers and music producers in Aotearoa, New Zealand. The initiative is aimed at practitioners who have already started establishing their careers and need help developing their craft, community, and resources.

Events previously facilitated by Record Enable include two studio skill workshops, a monetary award to purchase audio equipment, a monetary award for hardship during study, and a mentor program.

Award-winning producer Laverty has an exceptional list of credits, which has solidified her reputation as a fine creative talent with an impressive catalogue of releases across multiple genres. Having worked under the tutelage of award-winning producers Paul Epworth (Adele, Primal Scream, Foster The People) and Ben Hillier (Blur, U2, Elbow) working on releases by Florence and The Machine, Bloc Party, Depeche Mode and Pete Doherty, Laverty then took her talents and experience to Australia and became one of the country’s most in-demand producers.

In early 2020, Laverty worked alongside legendary US songwriter, Amanda Palmer and went on to record an entire album called "Forty-Five Degrees", which featured performances from Missy Higgins, Montaigne and Clare Bowditch.

Laverty has recently produced albums for Camp Cope, Stella Donnelly, Pinch Points, Screamfeeder and a live album for Courtney Barnett at the Royal Exhibition Buildings in Melbourne. In addition to her production talents, Laverty is an adept songwriter, having recently written with Stella Donnelly, Kav Temperley, Kaitlin Keegan, Dallas Woods and Alex Lahey, among others.

Laverty is an APRA AMCOS ambassador, a mentor for the Girls Rock program and has spoken at global music conferences including The Great Escape (UK), Bigsound (Aus), Going Global (NZ), The Melbourne Sessions and Guinness Amplify (KL). She received the Australia Council for the Arts Music Fellowship for 2021/22 and was the recipient of the Prelude Composers Residency in 2022.

In 2022 Anna founded the Music Producer and Engineers’ Guild of Australia. She has now returned to production work in the UK.

The key goals for participants of Record Enable are to :

- leave feeling more comfortable in and knowledgeable of recording studio spaces

- build community with other people doing recording and production

- be able to envision a career for themselves within this field

- have a better understanding of their knowledge gaps within recording and production and have a general idea of how they will be able to fill those gaps
