This workshop will include outdoor nature connection experiences in a forest close to the venue as well as indoor sessions. Spending time together in the forest will allow you to receive the deep replenishment that nature offers when we are open and receptive.
Being in nature supports us in returning to stillness and presence. It can gently and powerfully support us in opening to all that is within us.
Together we will explore the possibility of moving from a state of separation, survival and struggle into trust, connection and flow. This comes when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable rather than protected. And vulnerability is the opening into our inner being and reconnects us to each other, also enabling more freedom and space to be ourselves.
Nature will be the container that supports and holds this process of softening, opening and risking more of who we are being seen and shared.
We will explore how we can stay in our familiar patterns that provide comfort and protection but keep us feeling separate and closed up, or surrender and let go, allowing the barriers to naturally fall away.
These two days can either be experienced as a complete journey together (a two-day workshop where the second day will deepen and enrich all that we will have covered on the first) or you may attend just one of the days, as each day will also be beneficial in its own right.
There will be an emphasis on simple nature connection activities based on Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing), which are therapeutic and restorative on many levels. They relax our nervous system, reconnect us to our centre & support our overall sense of wellness and vitality. The indoor sessions will include inner meditative processes, supportive bodywork to help relax & let go, as well as plenty of time and opportunity for sharing and discussion in pairs and in small groups, which enables the deeper connection to happen within the group as a whole.
When we come together and have the support from others we can find the courage to drop the old patterns, the negative thoughts, doubts and insecurities, as none of these factors are who we really are. We are so much more, as behind the illusion of struggle and separation we are really all one. As each of us takes a step into openness and truth, we can then experience the support from others who want us to be free to be ourselves fully, as this is what we all want in our deepest being. This is the uplifting energy that emerges in the workshop that makes taking these steps feel natural and easy.
Saturday – Releasing Barriers
Sunday - Reconnection
The main theme of Saturday's workshop will be about finding freedom from some of the barriers we have constructed around ourselves. Seeing that our protection eventually becomes imprisoning and that when we have a shared sense of safety and trust we can start to soften and open. Being in nature helps this to happen and is the solid base that can hold us. We will create a very supportive atmosphere in which we can take some risks and allow a little more of who we are to be seen.
The main theme of Sunday's workshop will be a continuation of the opening that started on Saturday but with an emphasis on the freedom to be who we are rather than having to fit in, please others, be good enough or play any kind of role. It will be about releasing ourselves from any self-imposed conditions or expectations and seeing that we are enough just as we are. It is both a reconnection to nature through this we reconnect with our own inner stillness, as well as the connection to each other as a whole.

"I slowed down, I noticed, I felt, I saw, heard, smelled, touched. I actually was there not only in my body as I tend to do, but in my Being. Now I’m just a little more “there” when I am surrounded by nature because I was reminded of how to Be with it, respectfully. Thank you Mark.” Previous participant

“I spend plenty of time in nature but this was a first; to be guided and held so that I experienced sounds and sensations in a new way." Previous participant
“This workshop/retreat was very powerful and cut to the core of what human connection is about.” Previous participant

"I felt blessed to be part of one of the most beautiful workshops I have ever attended. I felt safe and free to dive deep into my inner, most true self. The experience of seeing what I have seen inside me, it is priceless, the feeling of love and support I have received from the members of the group were deeply touching. I Loved every moment of it, thank you everyone for being so open and honest and for allowing me to be part of this amazing morning together" Previous participant.

“I love creating opportunities for people to be real and authentic, opening themselves to discover more of who they really are. My focus and interest is on all the ways we create separation between ourselves and others and how we can open to a different possibility in which we are connected and at one with each other and our world.”
