This event is not a "class" and is not suited for new shooters who have not established safe pistol handling. It is intended for the concealed carrier who desires to safely practice skills & drills that ranges do not allow in a "booth". Participants will safely and repeatedly draw /re-holster, with emphasis on cultivating accurate, fast shots starting from a holstered position in which we normally carry.
PREREQUISITES:
1. You are legally able to handle a firearm.
2. You possess safe muzzle + trigger discipline and can safely draw from holster.
3. You agree to work within your own limits of safety, and will not endanger yourself or those around you.
NOTES/REQUIREMENTS:
• Pistol, spare magazines.
• A quality, non-collapsing holster, properly fitted specifically for your pistol. (NO Blackhawk Serpa's, crossdraw or 6 o'clock carry)
• Eye & Ear pro
• Appropriate clothing to protect from brass, and not interfere with safe holstering.
• Approx 100-150rds ammo (Factory only, no reloads or hollow points)
• Please follow safe handling at arrival and departure.
• No unholstering until it's your turn on the firing line.
• ZERO tolerance for unsafe habits.
• Everyone should be watching each other for safety, and you are expected to point out any issues immediately for everyone's benefit.
The event duration is 4hrs total.

Bonus warm up 5:30-6 (optional). PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME FOR 6:00p SAFETY BRIEFING FOLLOWED BY DRAW PRACTICE. Due to the content, we start slow with dry draw practice and slowly build speed while emphasizing safety and correct form. If this is your 1st Advanced RTPL event and you miss the draw practice, you may not be allowed to fully participate.
LIABILITY DISCLAIMER: Although we have run a safe and successful group with 100+ events over 5+ years, shooting is potentially dangerous. All participants must sign a waiver, holding the organizers and volunteers harmless of any liability.

ABOUT US:
A faith based private league, focusing on CCW/defensive skills, outside of a booth, while enjoying the camaraderie of friends who have mutual interest in this hobby.
Recoil "Therapy" is our therapy, run by a small handful of people who volunteer their time. We welcome new members, but please keep in mind we are practicing defensive pistol skills in a small room and must be discerning with attendees.
Our members consist of friends who are of good character, walk in the fruit of the Spirit, and possess basic fundamentals of shooting, safe pistol handling, muzzle/trigger discipline, and can legally operate a firearm.
Our league meets the 3rd Wednesday at Article 2 in Lombard. Scenarios are chosen to cultivate CCW/defensive skills, and to be fun. Skills covered include basic marksmanship, rapid fire and reloading on the move, in all directions, both strong and weak hand, utilization of cover, CQB retention/point shooting drills, and realistic encounter scenarios at 0-10ft. We are unlike other action shooting events based on competition, as we are competing against ourselves and sharpening one another. Due to content this event is not appropriate for new shooters. Tickets are non-refundable.
