Ross Cooper of Rosca Horsemanship will be running an interactive workshop on Monday 25th November at Derby College Equestrian Centre.- Can you recognise when your horse is unhappy?
- Are you aware of what emotions drive behaviour?
- Do you know healthy posture when you see it, and how to recognise it??
In his first of three Winter workshops, 'Recognising Dysfunction' will lead you through the all too common signs that are indicative of dysfunction in the horse.
During our time together, Ross will cover how to recognise dysfunction in the horse and common causes that we see in training, handling and husbandry.
This will include the multiple emotional, behavioural and physical aspects that are indicative of dysfunction, the link between the three, and most importantly, how to help you recognise them and changes you can make for improved welfare and communication.
This workshop will challenge both common misconceptions about horse behaviour and how a horse should be ridden.
The evening will follow Ross's known relaxed and informative teaching style, include a presentation talk, encouraged constructive discussion throughout followed by some interactive learning experiences!
