We will meet at the Ancestor Site behind the Dreyfus University Center at the Iris Fountain for our Reclamation Walk. We want to bring awareness to the residential boarding school children and also their descendants and relatives who are with us today. With love, humility and bravery - AIRO (American Indians Reaching for Opportunities) and the Native American Center will move together with our communities in Reclamation of our cultures, languages, safety and belonging. We invite all to join us to come together to carry our shared history in a good way forward to the benefit and prosperity of all!Orange Tshirts will be available for participates including youth sizes this year ❤️
We will be hosting several guest speakers and drum. The walk will conclude with a ceremonial fire to feed the children lost in the residential boarding school and to connect them to the children and families still alive today. We invite everyone to participate and welcome the support.
