Reclaiming the Lost Gift & Art of Jesus' Healing Ministry Equipping the Church to be God's holistic healing presence in the world in the wake of the pandemic and a growing need for mental health care.
A pandemic, political divide, racial tensions, and polarization has had an impact on all of us in recent years. For many, the effects have been profoundly devastating—especially on mental health. This is evident by the exponential increase and overwhelming demand for mental health services addressing trauma, depression and anxiety. The need for spaces to heal that are safe and effective is paramount.
The Church is called to be God’s healing presence in the world, but is she equipped to hold such healing spaces? History informs us that the Church has abdicated her role as a healing agent. Over the centuries, the Church has lost touch with the power and ability to operate in Jesus’ healing ministry. The members of the first century Church, along with the apostles, were holistically embodied and engaged in Jesus’ powerful healing ministry as a primary practice. What does this mean for Christians today? How can the Church reclaim her place as a space for healing?
You are invited to join us to explore these questions, learn about equipping opportunities and experience Jesus’ healing presence.
