What to expect:
- Facilitators will explain the vision for a partnership between Uplift Appalachia and churches in Scotland to help reduce drug use.
- Participants will have a chance to share their experiences or lack thereof in serving in recovery ministry.
- We will work together toward building a plan for how to mobilize church members in a new way.
We will hold a guided conversation to:
- Discuss the state of drug use in Scotland and why current approaches to addressing it may be falling short.
- Help Uplift Appalachia better understand the status of churches in Scotland, specifically regarding addiction and recovery ministry.
- Brainstorm ways church members who are not actively involved in ministry can be motivated to support people in recovery.
