Even as we try to shield ourselves, limit our exposure, or focus on the positive, it can feel like an uphill battle. Staying motivated, connected, and hopeful is not always easy. In an era of complexity, we often struggle to determine what is true and what is not true, what is right and what is wrong. We are afraid of talking and sharing our opinions without being judged. We are also quick to judge others and ourselves. We are fearful of making decisions or expressing who we are and what we believe. We are becoming more isolated and alone. The pressure to always “get it right” is immense, and the exhaustion of caring, especially when others seem indifferent, can be overwhelming.
