Parenting a neurodivergent child is like living with the volume turned right up. The mental load, the sensory input, the emotional labour, and perhaps your own neurodivergence – it can all leave you with your own nervous system feeling constantly activated. We’re in a constant stress state and that leads to overwhelm and burnout. We know you spend so many hours putting other peoples’ needs first. Reclaiming Calm is a gentle, 90 minute workshop designed to help you. We’ll use practical, low-demand tools to help your own nervous system regulation. We’ll focus on somatic practices, mindful anchor points, peer connection, and effective emotional regulation techniques designed to help you on the night and through your day-to-day lives.
Led by experts with lived experience, you’ll find this an inclusive, trauma-informed space where you can share, breathe, and reclaim your calm – without needing to sit still, be silent, or ‘empty your mind’.
This is a neurodivergent-affirming space. You’re free to engage with the session in the way that best suits you. No experience with meditation or movement needed.
