This workshop will help you to improve your physical balance through the use of gentle Somatic techniques that enhance your proprioception, or awareness of your body in space.We will explore our connection to the ground to enable us to move towards balancing Yoga postures, and understand why it is important to maintain balance as we age (risk of falling, slower recovery rates, loss of bone density).
Balance in the body leads to balance in the breath and in our minds. Through simple breath work we can bring balance also to the nervous system.
The workshop is suitable for all levels including beginners, and is not a lesson in gymnastics, but rather, a way to maintain optimal health and balance through simple practices.
