Join us for our 2025 Black History Month Guest Lecture, featuring Dr. Modupe Labode of the National Museum of American History. Dr. Labode will speak about interpreting the life and legacy of Emmet Till for a public audience. Her talk will touch upon public historians' relationships with local communities in Mississippi as they worked together to create public markers memorializing Till's murder in 1955.
This guest lecture is free and open to the public.
It will be held in Olscamp 115 on BGSU's Main Campus.
This lecture is part of BGSU's 2025 Black History Month Program.
