Here’s the low down for the step by step guided recital makeup and hair class at 12:00 March 8th...for younger classes Please bring a chair and let us know if you'd like to attend (we have room for 20-25 dancers)
Saturday, March 8th @ 12:00pm mostly for ages 3-5 classes, 4-6, 6-9 classes, 7-11 class and 9-12 dancers who need help learning how to do your makeup and hair for the recital….THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU TO ATTEND AT THE ST. ROBERT STUDIO!
No costumes; just comfy clothes and a robe is always nice to wear over clothes so makeup does not get on your dancer.
YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN HAIR AND MAKEUP ITEMS TO PRACTICE ON YOUR DANCER!
If you can not attend, that's ok! We will have videos posted, and hopefully another opportunity for you to attend another one TBA.
WHAT TO BRING for your dancer to practice hair and makeup:
Hair items include:
1. Ponytail holders and Bobby pins
1.5 small clear elastics if your dancer is doing braids
2. Bun maker (doughnuts found at dollar tree) for those that are doing buns
3. Spray bottle with water
4. Hairspray
4.5 Gel
5. Comb and brush
Makeup items needed:
Please have your dancer start with a clean face.
Younger dancers do not require A LOT but this is stage makeup so they will need some color on stage;) plus it's fun...younger dancers do NOT do false eyelashes
1. Foundation that is a shade darker than face
1.5. Face primer is good to have too
2. Blush
3. Eyeshadow (a brown pallet works best) with a cream and white color
3.5🤣 eyeliner if you are brave enough
4. Brushes for Blush and eyeshadow
5. Lipstick (Most will do red)..try and get a 24 hour wear for show...for class anything works for practice ;)
5.5 Lip liner (this helps the lipstick stay on the lips and prevents the red color from bleeding onto the foundation)
6. Qtips, tape and makeup wipes
7. PATIENCE lol...this part of recital stuff stresses some of you I know!! Just breathe and have fun with it ❤ we have plenty of time till showtime to practice our dancers' stage look;)
Some of you have side buns, some have braids, some have high buns, spme classes have high tight poney tails, others have low pony tails...We will make sure everyone is on the same page🙌
WE like a tight ballet bun and no wrap around braids. WE will be teaching the correct way.
