Calling all peanut-loving home cooks and student chefs! The National Peanut Festival invites you to stir up something spectacular in this year’s Recipe Contest—where flavor meets creativity and peanuts take center stage. Whether you're baking, boiling, or blending, your dish could be the next crowd favorite!🍽️ Contest Overview
• 📅 Date: Thursday, October 23, 2025
• 🕗 Entry Drop-Off: 8–10 AM at the NPF Volunteer Building at The Fairgrounds
• 🏆 Awards Ceremony: 1 PM at the BankPlus Fairgrounds Arena
• 📍 Location: Brightspeed Hospitality Center, behind the NPF Office
🥄 What You’ll Need to Enter
• A recipe featuring at least ½ cup of peanuts, peanut butter, peanut oil, or other peanut product
• A finished dish with at least 10 servings in a disposable container
• A clearly printed or typed recipe on the official entry form (attach extra pages if needed)
• One entry per class per person—no professionals allowed
• Prepared mixes are welcome (please list brand name)
👩🍳 Divisions & Classes
Two separate divisions:
• Adult Division (18+)
• Student Division (18 & under)
Each division includes 7 classes:
1. Cakes
2. Candies
3. Cookies/Bars
4. Pies
5. Cupcakes/Cakepops
6. Miscellaneous (soups, dips, breads, main dishes—note if heating is required)
7. Boiled Peanuts (Regular or Flavored)
🎁 Prizes & Awards
🏅 Adult Division
• Grand Prize: $150 + Kitchen Aid Mixer
• 1st Place: $100 + Blue Ribbon
• 2nd Place: $75 + Red Ribbon
• 3rd Place: $50 + White Ribbon
• Honorable Mentions: 3 ribbons per class
🏅 Student Division
• Grand Prize: $125 + Kitchen Aid Mixer
• 1st Place: $75 + Blue Ribbon
• 2nd Place: $50 + Red Ribbon
• 3rd Place: $25 + White Ribbon
• Honorable Mentions: 3 ribbons per class
📸 Winning recipes will be photographed and displayed at the Fairgrounds!
Kitchen Aid Mixers are donated by the Alabama Peanut Producers Association.
