Doral Contemporary Art Museum presents (RE)CHARGE to (RE)NEW.
A VIP Vernissage will take place on Saturday, September 6th, at 4:30 PM at the DORCAM Pop Up Space in Cityplace.
After the energy and acclaim of our Preview, the exhibition now extends to a broader circle and hors d'oeuvres, with honored guests such as the Argentinian Consulate, Mayors, and South Florida district commissioners joining us.
Curated by Marcelo Llobell and Sofia Aviles, and selected by Panal 361 for residence at El Granero at Chateau d’Ancón, this exhibition brings together 16 artists whose work re-challenges the established. Valeria Yamamoto and Marina Gonella re-evolved their artistic practice as residents in Mendoza, Argentina. All of the artists are showcasing exceptional projects alongside the residents. The exhibition features a scenery of photography, sculptures, screen printing, painting, mixed media and of this ilk.
Step into this space to reach, recall, receive, record, redo, reflect, reform, release, remember, remark, respond, report, respect, restore, revive, realign, reveal, reactivate, realize, reappear, and re-experience memory beyond ordinary recollection. A visceral, almost physical revisiting that reawakens, re-contextualizes, and reimagines the past in the present.
