About this Event
Respite for The Caregiver
Join us for a much-needed break in the cozy, retreat-like atmosphere at JPH! This monthly gathering is designed to offer caregivers a chance to unwind and recharge. Take a moment to prioritize self-care, connect with fellow caregivers, and engage in meaningful discussions.
Each month, you'll have the opportunity to participate in relaxing and mindful activities, such as sound meditations, meditative art projects, yoga nidra, and more.
Self-care for caregivers is crucial because it helps prevent burnout, stress, and physical or emotional exhaustion that can arise from the demands of caring for others. Caregivers often prioritize the needs of those they care for, neglecting their own well-being in the process. Without proper self-care, they may experience feelings of frustration, resentment, and decreased ability to provide effective care. By taking time for themselves, caregivers can recharge, maintain their health, and enhance their emotional resilience. This not only improves their own quality of life but also enables them to be more present and compassionate, ensuring the care they provide remains effective and sustainable in the long term.
In February, you will be invited into the barn for a sound meditation with Tina Gruner.
