Recession Drag is a thrift-centric drag show focusing on the intersection of drag and clothing justice. Before the show, there will be a costume swap, and then a “thrifted” drag show to follow. In the show, performers will cast clothing items that they thrifted, upcycled, or created and demonstrate them in striking ways that will help us reimagine accessibility of drag and performance, as well as the ways of how we can respectfully honor ourselves, community AND our earth through drag.
