As part of That Poetry Thing, join us for readings by two Recent Work Poets.
Asha Naznin has built a name as the 'Queen of Quirky' poetry. After launching her debut poetry collection 'Lover, Where Are Your Eyes' she will be performing her brand new poetry along with some of her all-time favourites by the audience. She has been featured at Manning Clark House, Girls on Key, Tuggeranong Arts Centre, and Poetry on the Move, Australia Day etc. Asha is a scientist and social scientist with two bachelors degrees from ANU. She works in the cyber security industry.
JENNIFER ALLEN is a Melbourne based poet, whose first collection of poems The Cut Worm was published in 2006. Jennifer’s recent poems express a satirical interest in the inequities of pervasive surveillance technologies and the digital economy; mirrored on a personal level by the socials controls imposed within families.
Jennifer will be reading from her latest collection 'Everything Feeds It'.
