PRESTON DUNCAN
An internationally renowned performer and
educator based in Minneapolis, Preston Duncan
has been praised for his mastery of the
saxophone and his virtuosic brilliance. He has
performed as a soloist in the United States,
Latin America, and Europe, playing with
esteemed ensembles such as the Indianapolis
Symphony Orchestra, La Grande Orchestre des
Alpes de la Mer de Nice, and the National Band
of Slovenia. Duncan has performed at
prestigious venues worldwide, including Salle
Verdi in Milan, the National Theater of Croatia,
the U.S. Embassy in Paris, and the National
Theater of Costa Rica.
As a chamber musician, Duncan has
collaborated with renowned ensembles and
artists such as The Minnesota Orchestra, The
Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Trio Klonos,
Jeremy Denk, Marvin Hamlisch, Mariana
Airaudo, and Rosemary Clooney.
Duncan’s achievements include a Fulbright
Scholarship to Paris, France, and winning first
prize in the MTNA National Woodwind
Competition. He is dedicated to promoting new
music and has premiered works by several
contemporary composers.
Currently, Duncan teaches saxophone at the
University of Minnesota and directs the Twin
Cities Saxophone Series and Camp. He is also
the founder of the Calizzano Creative
Saxophone Festival in Italy. Duncan performs
exclusively with Légère reeds and is an artistic
endorser of Buffet Crampon.
MARIANA AIRAUDO
Mariana Airaudo has had the honor of performing with renowned orchestras and chamber
music ensembles across America and Europe. Recently, she performed as a soloist at the Solis
Theatre with the Montevideo Philharmonic Orchestra, at Clube Curitibano (Curitiba/Brazil), at
Sala Verdi with the Montevideo Classical Orchestra, at the Vaz Ferreira Auditorium with the Da
Capo Orchestra, at Sala Cecilia Meireles in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) with the Unirio Orchestra, at
the National Auditorium of Sodre with Ossodre, and at the National Theater of Costa Rica with
the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica.
Her specialization in chamber music has led her to perform with excellent Uruguayan and
international artists, as well as to collaborate in recordings and performances at an
international level, performing in theaters in the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, England, Germany,
France, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Panama, and Uruguay.
She is regularly invited to participate as a teacher and recitalist alongside maestros and
students at various festivals, seminars, concerts, and universities in several countries, such as
Panama Cello Fest, Provincial University of Rosario (Argentina), Zacatecas International
Saxophone Festival and Competition (Mexico), International Double Bass Festival (Uruguay),
International Saxophone Festival (Uruguay), Liceu Sax Fest – Barcelona (Spain), Trumpet Fest
Argentina (Bs As/Argentina), International Clarinet Festival – Bs As (Argentina), Hindemith
Festival – Rotterdam (Netherlands), Van Dag die Romantische Muziek Summer Festival,
Rotterdam (Netherlands), Saxofónico Saxo Fest (Santa Fé/Arg), Costa Rica Sax Fest, Peru Sax
Fest, and Brasilia Sax Fest.
She currently serves as a teacher in Chamber Music and as a collaborative pianist at the
University School of Music (Montevideo, Uruguay), at the National School of Lyric Art of
SODRE, and at the SODRE Youth Orchestra (Montevideo, Uruguay). She works as a contracted
pianist with the SODRE Symphony Orchestra and the Montevideo Philharmonic Orchestra.
