Reason on the Hill is our annual secular lobby day at the Iowa Capitol Building. We host an information table, lobby legislators about church/state separation and science-based laws, talk to staffers and visitors to the Capitol, and otherwise promote secular, reason-based government.
Christian Nationalists gained seats in both houses. They have the power to pass any bill they want and they are motivated to push their theocratic boundaries as far as they can. It is going to be a bad year for those of us who support secular government, minority rights, religious freedom, and church/state separation.
We need your help. Please volunteer for Reason on the Hill if you can. Let us know if you can make it. Put it on your calendar and ask for Feb. 6 off now.
IAF also invites other secular organizations to host tables at Reason on the Hill. There is power in numbers. The more groups and people are there, the bigger impact we will have.
