About this Event
Talking about our emotions can be challenging - recognising them, naming them, and expressing them isn’t something many of us were taught to do. Real Talk offers a supportive space to explore why opening up can feel difficult, the messages we internalise growing up, and what happens when we bottle emotions up. This workshop also coincides with Time to Talk Day on the 6th of February, a national reminder of the importance of honest conversations about mental health.
This session is about connection, insight, and learning to speak more openly about what’s going on inside.
What will I gain?
- A clearer understanding of primary and secondary emotions.
- Language and tools to express feelings more confidently.
- Insight into common barriers that make opening up difficult and the impact of suppressing emotions.
- A supportive space to practise honest conversation.
