Real moments: a workshop about being true to yourself (2nd edition)

What does it mean to be true to yourself? And why can it be so damn hard to do so? Why do we adjust the way we present ourselves? Why do we go against our own desires so often? And what is the alternative?
During this five-hour workshop, we’ll take a break from having to be the best version of ourselves as we explore the idea of creating real moments. These are moments in which our outer expression is in complete alignment with our inner truth. Rather than a self-improvement workshop, this is a safe space to welcome our most authentic self. Rather than presenting ourselves in the best possible way and impressing each other, we’ll explore what happens when we drop our masks and be as we are.
STRUCTURE ?
We’ll create a space in which we can safely connect with ourselves and each other. From there, we’ll use practical exercises to create real moments. We’ll play with honest communication, genuine emotional expression, and with different ways of expressing ourselves physically. We’ll explore techniques inspired by tantra, radical honesty, voice dialogue, systemic constellations, and various embodiment practices. We’ll get to experience what it feels like when all thoughts and emotions are welcome, and what it’s like to truly honor our needs, desires, and boundaries.
THE AIM OF THE GAME ?
Together, we’ll experience that being open, honest, and vulnerable doesn’t lead to rejection, but is actually the key to genuine connection. We’ll come to recognize that the emotions in which we tend to feel most alone are actually the most universal aspects of the human experience. By experimenting with creating real moments together, we’ll learn that we have the ability to improve the quality of our lives and relationships, one moment at a time.
The goal of this workshop is to recognize real moments as the times in which magic happens, the times we remember, the times we draw inspiration from later, and the times that inspire others. We get to experience that they’re a key element in living a life that is more fulfilling, and some of the most tangible manifestations of what it means to feel alive.
