About this Event
We are running a series of events about Ready to RISE across Scotland in January, follow our Eventbrite page or keep an eye on our website for future dates. These will be happening in Perth, Stirling, East Lothian and Fife ( more details to be announced).
Ready to RISE aims to help women across Scotland learn about social enterprise and discover their potential to use entrepreneurship to make a living, work flexibly and positively impact their communities.
Ready to RISE is for you if you want to return to work after a career break or want a career change to design your ideal workplace – one that allows you to make a living, work flexibly and use your skills for good. You may have not considered starting a social enterprise – or any business – before, and that’s OK. You do not need a business idea to participate in Ready to RISE.
Whatever your background or experience, you will already have skills that could help you start and run a business.
We are excited to be holding the first information session at Rascals Café in Perth's city centre. Rascals is a vegan café in the heart of Perth. Founded by social entrepreneur Dodie Piddock, Rascals Café uses hospitality and horticulture to inspire individuals to achieve their potential, improve the life chances of those who suffer from social disadvantage and give them the tools to be the best they can be.
We’ll be joined by Kirsty Lunn, founder of purpose-led underwear company Molke. Kirsty has a strong passion for social justice and gender equity and uses her work and platform to bring positive change. Kirsty will share her journey as an entrepreneur and how she combines her skills and passion to make a living.
Children are welcome so please bring them along.
We are really looking forward to seeing you there!
