About this Event
Ready/Sketch/Go is an relaxed, uninstructed non-profit figure drawing session featuring costumed models and is hosted by illustrators Owen Freeman and Zoe van Dijk. It is held on the last Wednesday of every month at Block Party bar in Highland Park from 7-10pm. Each session will feature a different themed costume chosen in collaboration with our models. This month's model is Aryiel Hartman dressed as her version of Poison Ivy. Poses range from 3 to 15 minutes. Please bring your own art supplies and be respectful of the venue and bartenders -- we are grateful they are allowing us to use their space.
We have a range of seating options including couches, tables and stools with cocktail tables. Parking is available on York and all surrounding side streets, as well as several paid lots within 1-2 blocks. Block Party is wheelchair accessible and allows outside food -- you are welcome to bring snacks or patronize any of the numerous restaurants and food trucks on the street. As stated on the poster, while all drawing levels are welcome, this is a +21 and over event that is held in the back room of a bar. Please plan your transportation accordingly and be safe!
Advanced ticket reservations are $15 via Eventbrite (not including fees). A limited number of tickets will be available for walk-ins at the door, $15 via cash or venmo. Event opens at 6:30pm. This is a nonprofit event -- we use all money from ticket sales to pay our models or to invest back into the workshop.
Refunds are available up to 5 days before the event.
