Ready, Set, Resistance Run! There will be 8 drop in classes preceding this years 2024 Boilermaker on 7/14/24. If you are training for the Boilermaker and looking to beat last years PR, enjoy running, have had an injury and impact running just doesn't suffice anymore, or are looking to burn some major calories while strengthening and improving your body's overall performance when taking part in sports and exercise this self paced class is for you! Come on in for a Bungee run where you will be fitted into a harness and attached to a bungee to head into your resistance run. Way more fun than a regular run and you will be able to gauge the amount of resistance and adjust throughout your run.Some benefits of Resistance Bungee Running:
+ Build Muscle- Resistance training using the Bungee will help to build muscles in your legs, feet, and core in a shorter time frame than your normal run.
+ Low Impact- Running on the regular can be detrimental to our joints, but training them on Bungee resistance takes
60-70% of your body weight off of you, preserving those precious knees, hips, and backs.
+Improves Stamina- High intensity running against the resistance of the Bungee will increase your stamina and help build muscle memory. Improving your time and helping you sustain your actual runs when not attached to the Bungee.
+Improves Endurance- Improves the bodies physical capability to run longer periods of time.
+ Burn Calories- For every 30 seconds on the Bungee it is equivalent to 2 minutes of cardio and strength training. It is a supercharged workout and you will need less time to reach your personal goals.
+Improves Speed- Stimulating the nervous system and fibrous tissues improves your "speed reserve." Building capacity to store energy to use when you need it most (like at that finish line!)
+ Group Bonding- Coming together with like minded people and encouraging and being motivated by the people surrounding you is second to none!
