ATTENTION MILITARY FAMILIES (or any with BASE ACCESS)
Ready, Set, Preapare is a disaster and emergency preparedness workshop geared for the ENTIRE FAMILY. We will have 3 simulataneous Workshops presented at the same time by the American Red Cross.
Miramar Room: Our Adults/Parents and older children will get information from American Red Cross Trainers on local environmental threats to Southern California, and will assist in developing a Response Plan for your family!
Classroom 5: Our Kindergarten - 2nd graders will engage in an interactive workshop called Prepare with Pedro where their American Red Cross trainer will lead them age appropriate disaster and emergency preparedness activities through the use of coloring books, disney characters, etc.
Classroom 7: Our 3rd-7th Graders will engage in a Pillowcase Project where they will learn information from their Trainer on how to prepare an Emergency Preparedness Kit and then use a pillow case to make their own!
The preparedness information being shared is intentional and specific for our Southern California families and our families aboard MCAS Miramar. Please join us and become proactive in protecting your family as you increase you and the children's preparedness in responding to medical, environmental, and other safety/disaster concerns specific to the Southern Caifornia region!
