Reading for a Bright Future is a program hosted by Opportunity Uplifted that celebrates childhood literacy and helps families build joyful reading routines at home.
This February, we’re bringing families together for a special Storytime with Local Authors at the Brunswick-Glynn County Library. Come enjoy engaging read-alouds, meet authors from our community, and spend a Saturday morning centered around stories, connection, and learning.
What to expect
- Live storytime/read-alouds with local authors
- A welcoming, family-friendly environment
- Time to connect with community members who care about kids and literacy
Who should attend
- Families with children (especially early learners and elementary-aged kids)
- Educators, caregivers, and anyone who loves supporting youth literacy
Schedule (approx.)
- 10:30 AM – Welcome + getting settled
- 10:45 AM – Storytime begins
- 12:15 PM – Closing + final connections
- 12:30 PM – Event ends
