About this Event
University of Reading Vice Chancellor, Prof. Robert Van de Noort and Bishop of Reading, Bishop Mary, invite you to join them as they host a roundtable meeting for key civic society leaders to explore how we can work together to build a fairer Reading for all.
Over the last five years, key local organisations in Reading have been working together with Citizens UK to support local people to make change on the issues that matter to them.
We have created a Reading Alliance because we are not prepared to accept the issues that we and our communities face on a daily basis. Our vision is to bring together everyday people and local organisations to develop local leaders, strengthen institutions and win change.
Our Alliance consists of a broad range of civic society organisations including the Diocese of Oxford, University of Reading, Reading Students' Union, Alliance for Cohesion and Racial Equality (ACRE), Utulivu, Refugee Support Group and No5 Young People.
We are more powerful when we work together but we want to increase our power and reach more of our local communities. We would love you to be part of this.
