The banning of books has been a tool of oppression and control throughout history, and we know that the control of information can be detrimental to society’s well-being.Every day of the festival (Wednesday to Sunday) LitFestBergen’s International Book Club will read excerpts from a variety of books that have been banned somewhere in the world during some time period.
There will also be time for a short discussion of each example. Join them in the LitFestBergen office and café and join in on the cry for freedom of expression!
The reading will take place in different languages.
