L'Euguélionne is glad to invite you to a special evening with Chanel Sutherland & Murgatroyd Monaghan. About the two authors :
Chanel Sutherland is a 2 times winner of the CBC Literature Prize for her short novel. Born in Saint-Vincent-et-les-Grenadines, Chanel moved to Montréal (Québec) at the age of 6. She is currently writing her first book, a collection of short stories exploring the Caribbean immigrant experience, particularly those dealing with childhood.
Murgatroyd Monaghan is a Canadian author and poet. Presently, she makes her home with her partner, three children, and two cats on the traditional territories of the Anishnaabeg in Northern Ontario. She is the author of For Soldiers and Sailors Alike: Poems on the Familiar Wars of Womanhood. She has recently won the Canadian Nonfiction Prize and Prism International’s Pacific Spirit Poetry Prize as well as Wordstock’s Annual Poetry
The two authors will start by reading a piece of their work (published or soon to be published) followed by a Q&A with the audience.
