About this Event
Join us for a celebration of poetry, art, and community. This event will include a reading from acclaimed poet Marilyn Dumont, a presentation about beading and Métis art by the esteemed academic Cathy Mattes, and a casual conversation between the two presenters.
Attendees are encouraged to bring in-process beading projects to work on throughout the event, and are encouraged to join us for a casual bead-work-in-process and beading-skills sharing session once the presentations are finished.
Tea and bannock will be served throughout. (Note: this event is not a beading workshop, but it is a great introduction to Indigenous beading, and poetry, and is open to anyone interested in learning).
