Join us for the 2026 Reading Across Rhode Island Kick Off Event, hosted by the Rhode Island Center for the Book at the Rhode Island State House. This free, public celebration launches a year-long statewide reading initiative that brings communities together through one shared book.
At the event, you’ll learn about the 2026 Reading Across Rhode Island selection, hear from program partners, and find out how libraries, schools, book clubs, and readers across the state can participate throughout the year. We’ll also be giving away copies of the book while supplies last.
Whether you’re an educator, librarian, student, or enthusiastic reader, this event is a great way to connect, celebrate literature, and kick off a year of shared reading and conversation across Rhode Island. All are welcome.
