As part of the celebrations for the 900th anniversary of Reading Abbey, string players from the Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra will be teaming up with staff and students from Berkshire Maestros for this special event. There will be several performances of Vaughan Williams' magical 'Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis', free to anyone who happens to be passing by the Chapter House of Reading Abbey Ruins. Precise timings will be made available closer to the time. Please note that in the event of bad weather, the performance may take place the following day, or at a suitable indoor venue with Covid precautions.
