About this Event
Read, Write, Publish … Speculative Fiction: A Day of Conversations, Masterclasses and Workshops
As part of this year’s Tamar Valley Writers Festival we are offering a wonderful opportunity for emerging writers to engage in practical workshops with some of the TVWF's guest writers and UTAS creative writing specialists. And all with a focus on speculative fiction.
There will be panels, workshops and a masterclass on writing speculative fiction. There will also be discussions about undertaking a PhD in creative writing and getting your work published.
Eugen Bacon and Angela Slatter will be in conversation with Adam Ouston and Danielle Wood exploring their adventures in the genre of speculative fiction. And all of this in the environs of the new Rivers Edge Building on the UTAS Inveresk Campus.
Writing guests will include: Eugen Bacon, Angela Slatter, Jane Rawson, Adam Ouston, Ruby Ashby-Orr, and Danielle Wood.
A special student price of $25 is on offer. The ticket covers your registration for the day, lunch, and if you are a Sandy Bay-based student, travel to and from Hobart to Launceston on the day.
Ticketing goes live from Monday 23 September and are strictly limited, so register your interest now. Tickets will be distributed on a first-in-first-serve basis.
