Welcome to the first meeting of "Read This! Not That." The first book to be discussed is "In the Dream House" by Carmen Maria Machado. In the Dream House is a genre-bending memoir about her abusive relationship with a woman, told through innovative, fragmented chapters that use various narrative tropes (like fairy tales, horror, and sci-fi) to dissect the experience.
After our discussion, the group can then decide on a schedule that works best for all of us and proceed with choosing our next read!
